I’m torn on the Resident Evil series. I like the games fine. I even like the first movie in a campy, silly sort of way. I can even forgive the fact that it has Michelle Rodriguez in it, playing that clenched grimacy character that she always plays. But Resident Evil: Apocalypse just blew.. there was nothing redeeming about it. But this red band (R-Rated) trailer that Sony has posted for the upcoming Resident Evil Extinction actually looks kind of cool. I don’t think it could possibly be further removed from the games at this point, but it looks like it might be cool for some zombie action.

Well, the Resident Evil series keeps trucking along. I’m a big fan of the video games, and I even kind of liked the first movie in a silly, guilty-pleasure kind of way. Then I got sucker-punched by the sequel, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, which had a great teaser trailer, but completely blew as an actual movie.� So, I’m not really expecting much from Extinction. I’m not sure post-apocalyptic Las Vegas really fits with the whole Resident Evil mythos - but I guess it could be cool in a Mad Max kind of way.
