Courtesy of AICN comes this seemingly official first look at Iron Man’s grey armor. I think this is both awesome and super faithful to the source material. For those of you unfamiliar with the comics, this is the fist suit of armor that Tony Stark constructs while detained in a POW camp:

For reference, below is a scan (image courtesy www.chezcomics.com) of Tales of Suspense #39 (1962) depicting the same armor:

Courtesy of The Movie Blog comes this pic from Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers flick.

Man.. Bumblebee is scary. And, is that supposed to be an energon cube that Shia LaBeouf is holding? I thought they were supposed to be more.. glowy and transparent. For reference:

Also from ComingSoon.net comes word from Robert Rodriguez that Sin City might continue as a television series after the completion of Sin City 2. I’m mixed on this. I love Sin City, so my first instinct is the more I can get the better. Sin City is pretty episodic by nature, so it could work well in the TV format. But the quality is bound to go down. I’m sure Frank Miller isn’t going to want to write and storyboard every episode.
Plus they’re really going to have to tone down the castrations.. unless it’s coming to HBO or something.

According to ComingSoon.net , Laura Dern has stated that Jurassic Park 4 is underway, and that she’ll likely be involved. Dern says: “I’m told it’s happening and I’m told they’re calling me. I’m told that Ellie Sattler is involved in it.”
I was totally onboard with JP3 until the last 30 seconds or so, but I think the whole Jurassic Park concept may be played out. I mean, what wacky scheme Spielberg and Co. possibly concoct to get the characters back to the island again. Unless they’re going to go with some kind of Dinosaur invasion. That’d be cool.

This teaser is apparently playing in front of Grindhouse this weekend. So you might want to hold off if you want to see it on the big screen. As I’ve said before, I think Halloween is a stupid movie to remake because it’s perfect as it is. This teaser hasn’t really changed my mind. I’m really worried this is going to turn into another Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Click here to check it out at Yahoo Movies.

I was surfing around the official Star Wars site today, and found this awesome exclusive chrome plated Darth Vader statue for sale. And it’s only $289.99. I’m a shameless Star Wars geek, with way too much memorabilia already, but I might have to pick one of these bad boys up. Here’s the description from the official site:
When Gentle Giant’s magnificent 14″ Revenge of the Sith Darth Vader statues were recently offered in Japan as a stunning limited edition exclusive with smoky chrome finish, collectors quickly snatched up a healthy chunk of the 2,500 edition size, leaving many fans abroad asking how they might get their hands on one.Well, now’s your chance! As the only official U.S. retailer of this exceptional Gentle Giant variation, act quickly to get yours today; only a modest portion of the edition is available. Unlike the original version, this edition features a light-up saber and polished gunmetal look, effectively capturing the shadowed soul and cold steel bearing of the Jedi-turned-Sith-Lord. This is one sculpture that can stand alone on your display shelf or become the towering centerpiece among Gentle Giant’s stunning series of chrome Mini-Busts.
Cool. Now all they need to do is make it talk like my Star Wars piggy-bank.
